The visa fee must be paid at the time of application submission, along with an additional processing fee. Both the flight to Dubai and the return flight must be on Emirates or codeshare flights. Visa fees and ticket costs are non-refundable. Visa processing usually takes around 3-4 working days. The immigration service has the ultimate authority on permission to enter the UAE. Dubai entry visas are generally valid for 60 days from the date of issue, except for the 96-hour and 48-hour visas, which are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Applicants from certain countries who require a UAE visa in advance now have the option to submit their application and make the visa payment online through the emirates.com website. Travelers flying with Emirates to Dubai or transiting through the city can apply for and receive their UAE visa online without needing to physically submit their passport for stamping. By accessing the “Manage Booking” section after booking an Emirates flight ticket, travelers can apply for the visa, with potential additional VFS fees for processing. For more details, visit the VFS Global website. Residents and nationals of various countries worldwide can take advantage of the online visa application opportunity; eligibility for a UAE visa can be checked. Passport validity of at least six months after travel to Dubai is required, with machine-readable passports mandatory as handwritten entries are not accepted. This service is only available to Emirates passengers with confirmed bookings and e-tickets for Emirates-operated flights that involve a specified stay duration in Dubai. It is important to note that if the booking includes flights on other airlines to or from Dubai, the online visa request service is not an option. Online visa requests must be submitted a minimum of four working days before arriving in Dubai, and early submission is strongly recommended by Emirates. If a family member or close relative who is a permanent resident of the UAE applies for a visa on your behalf at any Emirates sales office in the country, this service is exclusively offered to individuals who are also permanent residents of the UAE.
