This visa allows young people from eligible countries to visit Australia, work to help pay for their trip, and/or study for up to 4 months.
Primary Requirements:
- Must hold a passport from one of the following countries: Argentina, Austria, Chile, China, Czech Republic, Ecuador, Greece, Hungary, Indonesia, Israel, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Peru, Poland, Portugal, San Marino, Singapore, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, Uruguay, United States of America, Vietnam.
- Aged between 18 and 30 years inclusive.
- Meet an education requirement specified depending on the country.
- English language level not less than Functional English (IELTS-4.5 average).
- Have a letter of support from your government if you are from Ecuador, Greece, Indonesia, Luxembourg, Malaysia (Good Conduct
- Certificate), Peru, Poland, San Marino, Slovenia, Thailand, Turkey, Uruguay.
- Have sufficient funds to afford a return airfare and at least $AU5,000 to cover the initial part of your stay in Australia.
- Meet health and character requirements.
- Have not previously entered Australia as a Working Holiday maker.
The Working Holiday Visa allows you to remain in Australia for a period of 12 months. You can apply for a Second Work and Holiday visa if you have completed three (3) months of specified subclass 462 work in approved industries and areas of Australia. You can apply for a Third Work and Holiday visa if you meet certain eligibility criteria, including having completed six (6) months of specified subclass 462 work in approved industries and areas of Australia.
