The Temporary Skilled-Recognized visa is for engineering graduates who have recently completed a degree or higher qualification from a
specified institution.
This visa allows you to live, work, and study in Australia temporarily for a duration of up to 18 months.
The visa offers opportunities for recent international engineering graduates to gain experience in the Australian workforce.
Eligibility for Skilled-Recognized visa subclass 476:
- Must not have previously held a subclass 476 or 485 visa
- Must have a qualification in one of the following specific engineering disciplines:
- Civil engineering
- Structural engineering
- Chemical engineering
- Environmental engineering
- Electrical and electronics engineering
- Mechanical, production, and plant engineering
- Mining and material engineering
Must have obtained the engineering qualification from a specified educational institution:
Any institution that offers an engineering qualification accredited under the Washington Accord is considered a specified institution.
The Department will also accept engineering degrees specified in this document.
