This short-term training visa enables individuals to travel to Australia for a temporary period to take part in occupational training or professional
development. The training visa permits individuals to undergo occupational training in Australia to fulfill occupational registration or licensing prerequisites and to improve skills in their chosen occupation.
Eligibility requirements:
- You must have an approved sponsor who has nominated you to participate in the training.
- You must be over 18 years old.
- You must meet health and character requirements.
- You must have adequate health insurance.
- You must be a genuine temporary entrant.
- You must have at least functional English (IELTS 4.5 overall).
Subclass visa 407 allows you to stay in Australia for up to 2 years and complete the training outlined in your application. You can travel in and out
of Australia as many times as you wish while the visa is valid, include qualifying family members in your application, and apply for another visa to
extend your stay. This visa can be applied for from both offshore and onshore locations. However, please note that this visa is subject to condition
8102, which prohibits work other than the training specified in the visa application. The 407 visa is granted for a specific period, ranging from six months to two years. The Immigration Case Officer will determine the duration of the visa based on the amount of training they believe you require. Upon expiry of the 407 visa, you may be eligible for a different type of visa.
